Rudgwick Medical Centre is an approved as a training practice for GP Registrars and Foundation Year GPs. We are hoping to have a new GP trainer in the next year or so.
A GP Registrar is a fully qualified, experienced doctor who is completing a further 3 years specialist training in order to become a GP.
- The GP Registrar will work as part of the practice team
- GP Registrar will have daily surgeries (often with longer appointment times), undertake home visits and help with duty doctor duties. Their placements with us vary in length, depending on their stage of training, from 4 months to over 12 months.
- Patients may, on occasion, be asked whether they mind having their consultation videoed "video consultation" for assessment purposes and/or to complete patient satisfaction questionnaires.
- These videos and assessments will always remain confidential and are strictly used only for the GP Registrar to be assessed by their GP Trainer and the HEKSS (Health Education Kent Surrey Sussex).
- Your help with their training is always greatly appreciated but should you wish not to take part – please advise a member of our Care Navigator team.
Thank you for your help and support.
If you have any questions about doctors in training please do ask us.
We also have other trainees with us from time to time such as physicians associates and medical students.
